All praise is to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. We ask for His forgiveness, seek His assistance, and ask Him for guidance. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil that is in ourselves, and from the evil of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, none can send astray, and whomever Allah sends astray, none can guide. We testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone and without partner. And, we testify that Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) is His slave and messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, his family, his companions and the rightly guided predecessors until the Last Day. Ameen.

Allah Provided For You to Give!

The Prophet said:

"Indeed, Allah says:

'We have sent down wealth so that the prayer may be established and charity may be given..."

Allah said: "Those who spend their wealth (in Allâh's Cause) by night and day, in secret and in public, they shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."

Quran chapter 2 verse 274 || English Translation - Mohsin Khan/Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali

The Prophet ﷺ said:

So do not delay until you are at the point of death and then you say: "Give this to so-and-so and give that to so-and-so," when at that point [your wealth and property] already belongs to so-and-so!"

(Al-Bukhāri: no. 1419) - Translation By @abukhadeejahsp

Sh Fawzaan said: When the Prophet use to distribute wealth, he gave those whose Eemaan was weak & the hypocrites;but nothing to best of the Sahaabah; rather he entrusted them to their Deen, for due to their [strong] Eemaan they will not be angry if not given. Obligation of Following the Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) and know that every Innovation is Misguidance

The Forbidden Innovations are those in the Religion and not those in Worldly Affairs. As for innovations and inventions of the World, such as advancements in technology, or the invention of cars, aeroplanes, microphones, the internet etc., then these are not referred to as bid’ah because they are not connected to a person’s religion. Technology is not forbidden, rather it is permitted and even encouraged (as long as there is no conflict with the Religion). Rather what is forbidden is that a person introduces an act of worship or a belief or statement for which there is no proof from the Book and the Sunnah.

Scrolling vs. Studying: The Battle for Our Time

The traditional paths to acquiring knowledge will stand the test of time and Allah knows best. How many of us will scroll short videos for an hour when that hour could’ve been invested in reading a book. Before WiFi and smartphones existed, people use to take books on train rides, car rides etc. finishing 20-30 books a year simply in transit.

Technology may be used to enhance knowledge but one must understand how it inhibits knowledge also. Back in the day, Salafi da’wah online was solely disseminated through core Salafi websites. Today, a middleman exists in social media and information is curated in a short, engaging fashion to facilitate their ad revenues. The da’wah is thus curated and funnelled through these platforms, but an “ends justifies the means” approach in inappropriate (i.e, clickbait, edutainment). Rather we must encourage seeking knowledge in the traditional longstanding methods of the Salaf. Source 🔗 Troid.org

Truth Is Not Built on Recommendations

Turning a blind eye to clear methodological errors attributed to Arafat al Muhammadi while continuing to praise him and elevate his status does not erase the detailed jarh that has been established. Detailed criticism takes precedence over general praise, and it cannot simply be brushed aside by repeating commendations.

What we are seeing is a defence of personalities rather than a commitment to the truth. Instead of offering knowledge based refutations, they rely on recommendations and endorsements, as though these alone should settle the matter. This approach subtly pushes people toward blind following, regardless of what is actually correct.

We are Salafis, not sheep. Unwarranted and reckless tabdi and widespread warnings presented in this manner will not be accepted, just as general praise and past tazkiyah will not be used to override clear evidence. The reality of what is taking place is evident, and that is sufficient.

It is also telling how Shaykh Abu Iyyad is easily singled out and targeted, with attempts to silence him despite his reliance on evidence. Why is the same not directed toward Shaykh Fawaz, Shaykh Bilal, Shaykh Ali, or Shaykh Nizaar when they make similar statements to Shaykh Abu Iyyad?

2. Are the issues raised by the Salafi Shaykhs against Shaykh Al-Bukhari (Not referring to Imam Al-Bukhari Rahimahullah), 'Arafat, and the intiqali Shaykhs a matter of Salafi Manhaj of mere personal disputation?

Note:

1. Ḥaddādiyyah – extremism in tabdīʿ

2. Muṣaʿfiqah – unwarranted excessiveness in criticism and warning, without adherence to the proper principles of the Salafi manhaj in rectification; unjustly placing Ahl al-Sunnah alongside Ahl al-Bidʿah merely for disagreement, ultimately leading to unwarranted tabdīʿ and ḥizbiyyah, whereby anyone who disagrees with them is placed under the label of the ṣaʿfiqah—resulting in division among Ahl al-Sunnah and opposing the Sunnī creed and methodology regarding the unity of Ahl al-Sunnah.

He can easily involve himself in the Nāzilah issue, and now his established followers are actively targeting Shaykh Fawwaz and issuing warnings in Egypt. Anyone who continues to take from Ahmad Badkhun is clearly misled; before the Daurah Muzani in Indonesia, he was unknown. They use Shaykh al Bukhari as a shield, acting with cunning intent.

🆕 Shaykh Rabīʿ bin Hādī: On the Necessity of Following Criticisms Based on Verification of Evidence, Not Bigotry and Partisanship Towards Individuals

My advice to you is to study, when a person is spoken about, study him and take the statements of the critics, understand them and be sure about their authenticity. If that becomes clear to you, then let a person judge (thereafter) from a position of (full) awareness and satisfaction (with evidence), not out of blindly-following this one or that one, or showing fanaticism (bias, bigotry) for this one or that one.

Leave alone personalities, this one or that one.

Take this as a guiding principle and convey it to those opposers who disagree so that they understand the reality and know the truth, so that it takes them out of the embers of their fanaticism towards falsehood.

And I do not want anyone to be fanatical towards me. Never!

If I erred, then let whoever noticed my error tell me that I erred, may Allāh bless you. Do not be fanatical towards anyone, do not be fanatical to this or that one, not to Ibn Taymiyyah, nor to Ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, nor to Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal, and nor to al-Shāfiʿī.

Indeed, (a person’s) zeal is for the truth, to respect the truth. It is a must to dislike error and to dislike falsehood.
