Umm ‘Abdir-Rahmān Tara bint Hāshim (ḥafiẓahāllāh) the name behind 🔗 Utrujjah Press books, has been devoted to teaching the Arabic language and the Noble Qur’ān for more than 25 years. With a strong foundation in Islamic learning, she graduated from the Qur’ān Teachers’ Institute and has continued to dedicate her life to the service of the Qur’ān and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf.

Her academic qualifications are extensive, reflecting both depth and diversity in her field. She holds a BA in Arabic Language, an MA in Teaching, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), a Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), as well as a Postgraduate Diploma specifically for Qur’ān Teachers. This combination of Islamic and linguistic studies equips her with the ability to reach a wide range of students, both native and non-native speakers of Arabic, enabling them to understand, recite, and connect with the Qur’ān in a meaningful way.

For over two decades, Umm ‘Abdir-Rahmān (ḥafiẓahāllāh) benefited from the knowledge of the senior scholar Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān (ḥafiẓahullāh), regularly attending his lessons in person or listening to his lectures remotely. This long-standing connection with the scholars of the Sunnah has profoundly shaped her teaching methodology, grounding her approach firmly upon the Qur’ān, Sunnah, and the understanding of the righteous predecessors.
